The Secretary of State for Transport, in exercise of the powers conferred by section 6 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984(1), and of all other enabling powers, and after consulting the Secretary of State for the Home Department, hereby makes the following Order:
1. This Order may be cited as the A12 Trunk Road (Leyton Way, Waltham Forest) (Prescribed Routes) Order 1988 and shall come into force on 15th August 1988.
2. In this Order-
"Leyton Way" means that length of the London-Great Yarmouth Trunk Road (A12) in the London Borough of Waltham Forest known as Leyton Way;
"the island site" means the triangular island site in Leyton Way at its junction with Whipps Cross Road.
3. No person shall cause or permit any vehicle proceeding southwestwards in Leyton Way to make a right turn so as to enter Poppleton Road.
4. No person shall cause any vehicle proceeding in Leyton Way to turn right into Whipps Cross Road.
5. The provisions of article 8 of, and item 6 of Schedule 3 to, the Hackney and Waltham Forest (Prescribed Routes) Traffic Order 1967(2) are hereby revoked.
6. Nothing in this Order shall apply to anything done with the permission or at the direction of a police constable in uniform or of a traffic warden.
