1.-(1) This Order may be cited as the Mersey Docks and Harbour Revision Order 1988 and shall come into force on 12th August 1988.
(2) The Mersey Docks and Harbour Acts and Orders 1857 to 1986 and this Order may be cited together as the Mersey Docks and Harbour Acts and Orders 1857 to 1988.
2. The period now limited by article 9(1) of the Mersey Docks and Harbour Revision Order 1980((3)) (extension of period for completion of works) for the completion of the river walls or embankments (No. 1) and (No. 2) described in and authorised by section 3 of the Mersey Docks and Harbour Board Act 1901((4)) so far as those works have not already been constructed, is hereby further extended until 31st December 1994.

This Order extends the time for the completion of certain works of reclamation of the river bed at Tranmere authorised by section 3 of the Mersey Docks and Harbour Board Act 1901 (as extended).
The applicants for the Order are the Mersey Docks and Harbour Company.
1964 c. 40; section 14 and Schedule 3 were amended by the Transport Act 1981(c. 56), section 13 and Schedule 6 paragraphs 2 to 4 and 14.
