ELECTRICITY

The Electricity Act 1989 (Variation of Section 34(1)(a)) Order 1990

The Secretary of State for Energy (as respects England and Wales) and the Secretary of State for Scotland (as respects Scotland), in exercise of the powers conferred by section 34(2) of the Electricity Act 1989(1), and of all other enabling powers, hereby make the following Order:-

Citation and commencement

1. This Order may be cited as the Electricity Act 1989 (Variation of Section 34(1)(a)) Order 1990 and shall come into force on 9th June 1990.

Substitution of capacity

2. Subsection (1) of section 34 of the Electricity Act 1989 shall have effect as if, for the capacity of 50 megawatts mentioned in paragraph (a) of that subsection, there were substituted the capacity of 10 megawatts.

Explanatory Note

(This note is not part of the Order)

This Order varies section 34(1)(a) of the Electricity Act 1989, by substituting the capacity figure of 10 megawatts for the capacity figure of 50 megawatts.
