Her Majesty, in pursuance of sections 2(3) and 15(6) of the Outer Space Act 1986(1), is pleased, by and with the advice of Her Privy Council, to order, and it is hereby ordered, as follows:
1. This Order may be cited as the Outer Space Act 1986 (Jersey) Order 1990 and shall come into force on 14th April 1990.
2. The application of the Outer Space Act 1986 is hereby extended to bodies incorporated under the law of the Bailiwick of Jersey.
3. It is hereby directed that the Outer Space Act 1986 shall apply to the Bailiwick of Jersey subject to the exceptions and modifications specified in the Schedule to this Order.

Article 3
1. Any reference to an enactment shall be construed, unless the contrary intention appears, as a reference to that enactment as it has effect in the Bailiwick of Jersey.
2. In section 1, for "the United Kingdom" there shall be substituted "the Bailiwick of Jersey".
3.-(1) In section 2(1)-
(a)the words "Scottish firms," shall be omitted, and
(b)for "any part of the United Kingdom" there shall be substituted "the Bailiwick of Jersey".
(2) Section 2(3) shall be omitted.
4. For section 3(4) there shall be substituted the following subsection:
"(4) An order made under subsection (3) of this section shall not have effect in the Bailiwick of Jersey until registered by the Royal Court of Jersey.".
5. In section 8(3), for the words from "on the application" to the end there shall be substituted "by injunction on application to the Royal Court of Jersey by the Secretary of State".
6.-(1) In section 9(1), for "a justice of the peace" there shall be substituted "the Bailiff".
(2) Section 9(6) shall be omitted.
7. For section 11(2) there shall be substituted the following subsection:
"(2) Regulations under this Act shall not have effect in the Bailiwick of Jersey until registered by the Royal Court of Jersey.".
8. In section 12-
(a)in subsection (2), for the words from "on indictment" to the end there shall be substituted "to a fine";
(b)in subsection (4), for "the United Kingdom" where first appearing and "any place in the United Kingdom" there shall be substituted "the Bailiwick of Jersey", and
(c)in subsection (6), for "United Kingdom" wherever appearing there shall be substituted "Bailiwick of Jersey".
9. In section 13(1), the definition of "dependent territory" shall be omitted.
10. In section 14, the entry in the Table relating to "dependent territory" shall be omitted.
11.-(1) In section 15(4)-
(a)for "commencement of this Act" there shall be substituted "date on which the Outer Space Act 1986 (Jersey) Order 1990 comes into force", and
(b)for "after commencement" there shall be substituted "after that date".
(2) Section 15(2), (3), (5) and (6) shall be omitted.

This Order extends the Outer Space Act 1986 to bodies incorporated under the law of the Bailiwick of Jersey and applies that Act to the Bailiwick subject to the exceptions and modifications specified in the Schedule to the Order.
