In exercise of the powers conferred upon me by section 12(4) of theImmigration Act 1988(1), I hereby make the following Order:
1. This Order may be cited as the Immigration Act 1988 (CommencementNo. 2) Order 1991.
2. Paragraph 1 of the Schedule to the Immigration Act 1988 shall comeinto force on 16th May 1991. Home Office

(This note is not part of the Order)
This Order brings into force paragraph 1 of the Schedule to theImmigration Act 1988 (limitation and conditions on leave to be applicablealso to subsequent leave granted after absence within period of earlierleave).
On 16th May 1991 the whole of the Act will be in force except section7(1) (persons exercising Community rights and nationals of member States).Section 6 and 7(2) and (3), sections 8 to 12 and the Schedule (exceptparagraph 1) came into force on 10th July 1988 (two months after Royal Assent) by virtue of section 12(3), and sections 1 to 5 were brought into force on 1st August 1988 by the Immigration Act 1988 (Commencement No. 1) Order 1988 (S.I.1988/1133).
