The Lord Chancellor, in exercise of the powers conferred upon him bysection 61(3)(a) and (c) of the Supreme Court Act 1981(1), hereby makes the following order:-
1. This Order may be cited as the High Court (Distribution of Business)Order 1991.
2. There shall be assigned to the Family Division all business in theHigh Court of any of the following descriptions:-
(a)all proceedings under:-
(i)the Domestic Violence and Matrimonial Proceedings Act 1976(2);
(ii)the Child Abduction and Custody Act 1985(3);
(iii)the Family Law Act 1986(4);
(iv)section 30 of the Human Fertilisation and Embryology Act 1990(5); and
(b)all proceedings for the purpose of enforcing an order made in anyproceedings of a type described in paragraph 3 of Schedule 1 to theSupreme Court Act 1981(6).
3. Paragraph 3 of Schedule 1 to the Supreme Court Act 1981 shall beamended in accordance with the Schedule to this Order, being anamendment which is consequential on the provisions of article 2 above.
4. This Order shall come into force on 14th October 1991.

The following shall be added after paragraph 3(e) of Schedule 1 tothe Supreme Court Act 1981:-
"(f)all proceedings under:-
(i)the Domestic Violence and Matrimonial Proceedings Act 1976;
(ii)the Child Abduction and Custody Act 1985
(iii)the Family Law Act 1986;
(iv)section 30 of the Human Fertilisation and Embryology Act 1990;and
(g)all proceedings for the purpose of enforcing an order made inany proceedings of a type described in this paragraph."
(This note is not part of the Order)
By this Order, the types of business described in article 2 are (asregards proceedings in the High Court) assigned to the Family Division;and paragraph 3 of Schedule 1 to the Supreme Court Act 1981 is amendedaccordingly.
Paragraph 3 was amended by the Children Act 1989(c.41), Schedule 11, paragraph 9 and Schedule 13, paragraph 45(3).
