Explanatory Note

(This note is not part of the Scheme)

This Scheme varies the M40 (London-Oxford) Motorway (Stokenchurch to Waterstock Crossroads Section) Scheme 1970 by removing the reference to the road connecting the A329 (previously known as the B4013) with the northbound carriageway of the M40 Motorway at Junction 7. The effect of the variation is that this connecting road ceases to be a special road as from the date on which the Scheme comes into force, but remains a trunk road for maintenance of which the Secretary of State for Transport is responsible.
