The Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food and the Secretary of State, acting jointly in exercise of the powers conferred on them by section 2(7) of the Agriculture Act 1993(1) and of all other powers enabling them in that behalf, hereby make the following Order:
1. This Order may be cited as the Milk Marketing Board Scheme of Reorganisation (Extension of Period for Application) Order 1993, shall apply in England and Wales and shall come into force on 31st December 1993.
2. In this Order"the Act" means the Agriculture Act 1993;
"the Milk Marketing Board" means the board administering the Milk Marketing Scheme 1933(2), being a scheme having effect under the Agricultural Marketing Act 1958(3) for the marketing of milk.
3. The period for the making of an application under section 2 of the Act by the Milk Marketing Board is extended to 31st March 1994.
In witness whereof the Official Seal of the Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food is hereunto affixed on 21st December 1993.

The Milk Marketing Board ("the Board") administers the Milk Marketing Scheme 1933 ("the 1933 Scheme") which applies to England and Wales. The Agriculture Act 1993 makes provision for the revocation of the 1933 Scheme and empowers the Board to apply jointly to the Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food and the Secretary of State for Wales for approval of a scheme for the reorganisation of the arrangementsrelating to the marketing of milk in England and Wales. This Order extends the last day on which an application may be made from 31st December 1993 to 31st March 1994.
1993 c. 37; section 24(2) contains a definition of "the appropriate authority".
