Explanatory Note

(This note is not part of the Order)

This Order designates, for the purposes of section 26 of the Further and Higher Education Act 1992, certain staff who work at specified maintained further education institutions (which are to be conducted by further education corporations from 1st April 1993) but who do not work solely at those institutions.

Section 26 substitutes the further education corporations for the local education authority as the employer of the persons so designated, as well as of those persons who are employed to work solely at such institutions, from that date.
