The Secretary of State for Defence, in exercise of the powers conferred on him by section 1(5) of the Ministry of Defence Police Act 1987(1), hereby makes the following Regulations:-
1. These Regulations may be cited as the Ministry of Defence Police (Police Committee) (Amendment) Regulations 1994 and shall come into force on 12th May 1994.
2.-(1) The Ministry of Defence Police (Police Committee) Regulations 1988(2)shall be amended as follows.
(2) In regulation 3-
(a)for the words "Director General of Security for the Royal Air Force" there shall be substituted the words "Assistant Chief of the Air Staff"
(b)for the words "Assistant Under Secretary at the Ministry of Defence responsible for research and development establishments and research administration" there shall be substituted the words "Assistant Chief of the Defence Staff (Operations and Security)".

These Regulations amend the Ministry of Defence Police (Police Committee) Regulations 1988 to effect changes in the membership of the Ministry of Defence Police Committee which advises the Secretary of State with respect to matters concerning the Ministry of Defence Police.
The Regulations provide for the Assistant Chief of the Air Staff and the Assistant Chief of the Defence Staff (Operations and Security) to be members of the Committee in place of the Director General of Security for the Royal Air Force and the Assistant Under Secretary at the Ministry of Defence responsible for research and development establishments and research administration.
