In exercise of the powers conferred on the Secretary of State by section 126(2) of the Education Act 1993(1)the Secretary of State for Education, as respects England, and the Secretary of State for Wales, as respects Wales, hereby make the following Regulations:
1. These Regulations may be cited as the Education (Groups of Grant-maintained Schools) (Finance) Regulations 1994 and shall come into force on 1st June 1994.
2. The percentage of maintenance grant payable in respect of a school in a group which is required to be applied by the governing body for the purposes of that school shall be 97.5 per cent.

(This note is not part of the Regulations)
These Regulations, made under section 126(2) of the Education Act 1993, prescribe 97.5% as the percentage of annual maintenance grant received in respect of a school which the governing body of the group must spend on the school.
