HIGHWAYS, ENGLAND AND WALES

The Secretary of State for Transport makes this Instrument in exercise of powers conferred by Section 106 of the Highways Act 1980(1), and now vested in him (b), and of all other powers enabling him in that behalf:-
1. The Buckinghamshire County Council (Marsh Drive Great Linford) (Canal Footbridge) Scheme 1993 is hereby confirmed with modifications.
2. The said Scheme as confirmed (hereinafter referred to as "the Scheme") is set out in the Schedule hereto and copies of the Scheme with its accompanying plans are deposited at the offices of the Buckinghamshire County Council, County Hall, Aylesbury, Bucks and at the offices of Milton Keynes Borough Council, Saxon Gate East, Milton Keynes.
3. The Scheme will become operative on the date on which notice that it has been confirmed is first published in accordance with paragraph 1 of Schedule 2 to the Highways Act 1980.
4. This Instrument may be cited as the Buckinghamshire County Council (Marsh Drive Great Linford) (Canal Footbridge) Scheme 1993 Confirmation Instrument 1994.

BUCKINGHAMSHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL ("the Council") makes this Scheme in exercise of its powers under Section 106 of the Highways Act 1980 and of all other enabling powers:-
1. The Council is authorised to construct over the navigable waters of the Grand Union Canal at Marsh Drive Great Linford in the Borough of Milton Keynes in the County of Buckinghamshire the bridge specified in the Schedule to this Scheme as part of the highway which it is proposing to construct known as Marsh Drive at Great Linford aforesaid.
2. This Scheme may be cited as The Buckinghamshire County Council (Marsh Drive Great Linford) (Canal Footbridge) Scheme 1993.
Given under the Common Seal of the Council this 16th day of December 1993.
The location and specifications of the footbridge are shown on Drawing Numbers MK307/002 and 307/003 attached hereto and the construction of the footbridge shall include:-

The location of the footbridge shall be immediately west of the existing Marsh Drive road bridge such that the centre line of the new bridge crosses the north bank of the canal 7.64 metres and the south bank 8.26 metres from the centre line of the existing road bridge.
