The Alternative Names in Welsh Order 1994

The Secretary of State for Wales in exercise of the powers conferred upon him by sections 25(1) and 27(3) of the Welsh Language Act 1993(1) and of all other powers enabling him in that behalf, hereby makes the following order:-

Citation and commencement

1. This Order may be cited as the Alternative Names in Welsh Order and shall come into force on 14th December 1994.

Provision of alternative names in Welsh

2. There shall be conferred on each of the bodies entered in the first column of the Schedule, being bodies each of whose name is conferred by an Act of Parliament, the corresponding alternative name in Welsh entered in the second column.
