The Secretary of State for Education in exercise of the powers conferred on her by sections 187(5) and (6), 231(2) and 232(5) of the Education Reform Act 1988(1), hereby makes the following Order:
1. This Order may be cited as the Education (London Residuary Body) (Property Transfer) (Amendment) Order 1994 and shall come into force on 30th December 1994.
2. Article 4(4) of the Education (London Residuary Body) (Property Transfer) (No. 4) Order 1991(2) shall be amended by the insertion after "1995" of the words "or, in the case of the Greenwich Park Upper School Extension site, by 1st January 1998".

This Order amends the Education (London Residuary Body) (Property Transfer) (No. 4) Order 1991 which transferred to the Council of the London Borough of Greenwich land known as Greenwich Park Upper School Extension site, King George Street, London SE10 subject to a condition that it be brought into use wholly or mainly for the purposes of that Council's functions as local education authority for their area by 1st January 1995 and, if not, disposed of and the proceeds of sale less expenses divided between the councils of the inner London boroughs and (in their capacity as a local authority) the Common Council of the City of London. This Order substitutes a date of 1st January 1998 by which that land must be brought into such use.
