Made
12th January 1994
The Secretary of State for the Environment, in exercise of the powers conferred on him by section 128 of the Leasehold Reform, Housing and Urban Development Act 1993(1) and of all other powers enabling him in that behalf, hereby makes the following Order
1.-(1) This Order may be cited as the Housing (Welfare Services) Order 1994.
(2) This Order shall apply in relation to local housing authorities in England only.
2. In respect of any year beginning on or after 1st April 1994 the provisions made by section 127 of the Leasehold Reform, Housing and Urban Development Act 1993 (accounting for housing welfare services) shall cease to apply in respect of the services described in the Schedule to this Order.

assistance with personal mobility;
assistance at meal times;
assistance with personal appearance or hygiene;
administration of medication;
nursing care.
(This note is not part of the Order)
This Order removes, in relation to local housing authorities in England and in relation to the described services, the discretion, which was conferred by section 127 of the Leasehold Reform, Housing and Urban Development Act 1993, of local housing authorities in England to account for housing welfare services in their Housing Revenue Accounts.
