The Secretary of State for Health, in exercise of powers conferred on her by section 126(3) of the National Health Service Act 1977(1) and section 5(1) of, and paragraph 29(1) of Schedule 2 to, the National Health Service and Community Care Act 1990(2) and of all other powers enabling her in that behalf, considering it appropriate in the interests of the health service to make this Order(3), and after completion of the consultation prescribed under paragraph 29(3) of Schedule 2 to that latter Act(4), hereby makes the following Order:

Citation and commencement

1. This Order may be cited as the Mid Essex Community Health National Health Service Trust Dissolution Order 1994 and shall come into force-

(a)for the purposes of article 3 of this Order, on 24th March 1994;

(b)for all other purposes, on 1st April 1994.

Dissolution of NHS trust

2. The Mid Essex Community Health National Health Service Trust established by the Mid Essex Community Health National Health Service Trust (Establishment) Order 1992(5) is hereby dissolved, and accordingly that Order is hereby revoked.

Revocation

3. The Mid Essex Community Health National Health Service Trust Dissolution Order 1993(6) is hereby revoked.

Explanatory Note

(This note is not part of the Order)

This Order supersedes the Mid Essex Community Health National Health Service Trust Dissolution order 1993, which is defective and is revoked by this Order, and provides for the dissolution of the Mid Essex Community Health National Health Service Trust on 1st April 1994.
