The Secretary of State, in exercise of the powers conferred on him by sections 17(2), 107(1)(b) and 107(3) of the Water (Scotland) Act 1980(1) and of all other powers enabling him in that behalf, on the application of the Borders Regional Council, hereby makes the following Order:
1.-(1) This Order may be cited as the Borders Regional Council (Galashiels Mill Lade) (Amendment) Water Order 1994 and shall come into force on 15th July 1994.
(2) This Order and the South-East of Scotland Water Board (Galashiels Mill Lade) Water Order 1969(2) (hereinafter referred to as "the principal Order"), the Borders Regional Council (Galashiels Mill Lade) (Amendment) Water Order 1977(3), the Borders Regional Council (Galashiels Mill Lade) (Amendment) Water Order 1984(4) and the Borders Regional Council (Galashiels Mill Lade) (Amendment) Water Order 1990(5) may be cited together as the Borders Regional Council (Galashiels Mill Lade) Water Orders 1969 to 1994.
2. For article 6 of the principal Order(6) there shall be substituted the following article:-
"6. The power to take water conferred by this Order shall not be exercisable after 15th July 1999.".
3. The Borders Regional Council shall at all times after the expiration of six months from the date on which this Order comes into force keep at the office of the Chief Executive of the Council a copy thereof.
