In exercise of the powers conferred by section 128(1), (2) and (6) of the Education Reform Act 1988(1) the Secretary of State for Wales, having consulted in accordance with subsection (4) of the said section 128, the Welsh Agricultural College Higher Education Corporation(2) and the Higher Education Funding Council for Wales(3), and with the consent of the University College of Wales, Aberystwyth given in accordance with subsection (2) of that section, hereby makes the following Order:
1. This Order may be cited as the Education (Welsh Agricultural College Higher Education Corporation) (Dissolution) Order 1995 and shall come into force on 1st March 1995.
2. In this Order-
"the Act" means the Education Reform Act 1988; and
"the Corporation" means the Welsh Agricultural College Higher Education Corporation.
3.-(1) The Corporation is dissolved.
(2) The property, rights and liabilities of the Corporation, other than rights and liabilities under any contract of employment, are transferred to and vest in the University College of Wales, Aberystwyth.
4. Section 127 of the Act shall apply in respect of any person employed immediately before 1st March 1995 by the Corporation to work solely at the institution conducted by the Corporation as if the references in that section-
(a)to the transfer date were to 1st March 1995;
(b)to the transferor authority were to the Corporation; and
(c)to the Corporation were to University College of Wales, Aberystwyth.

This Order dissolves the Welsh Agricultural College Higher Education Corporation and transfers the property, rights and liabilities of that Corporation to the University College of Wales, Aberystwyth (article 3). Contracts of employment of staff of the Corporation are transferred separately (article 4) by applying section 127 of the Education Reform Act 1988 (which is concerned with the transfer of staff to higher education corporations) with appropriate modifications.
