The Coal Industry Act 1994 (Commencement No. 5)Order 1995

4th February 1995

The Secretary of State, in exercise of the powers conferred on him by section 68(4) and (5)(a) of the Coal Industry Act 1994(1), and of all other powers enabling him in that behalf, hereby makes the following Order:

Citation and interpretation

1.-(1) This Order may be cited as the Coal Industry Act 1994 (Commencement No. 5) Order 1995.

(2) In this Order "the Act" means the Coal Industry Act 1994.

Provision coming into force on 1st March 1995

2. Part III of Schedule 11 to the Act shall, so far as it relates to the repeals set out in the Schedule to this Order, come into force on 1st March 1995.

10 & 11 Eliz. 2. c. 22.The Coal Consumers' Councils (Northern Irish Interests) Act 1962.

The whole Act, other than section 2.

Section 2, except for the purpose of the payment of any increase as mentioned therein relating to the time before 1st March 1995.

1970 c. 44.The Chronically Sick and Disabled Persons Act 1970.In section 14(1), the words "and the Domestic Coal Consumers' Council".

This Order brings into force certain of the repeals specified in Part III of Schedule 11 to the Coal Industry Act 1994 not previously brought into force.
