The Secretary of State for Transport, in exercise of the powers conferred by section 6(1) and (3) of, and Part IV of Schedule 9 to, the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984(1), and of all other powers enabling him in that behalf, and after consultation with the Commissioner of Police of the Metropolis pursuant to section 7(6) of that Act(2), hereby makes the following Order:
1. This Order may be cited as the Trunk Road (A3) (Robin Hood Way Service Road, Kingston upon Thames) (Restriction of Entry) Order 1982 (Variation) Order 1995 and shall come into force on 30th October 1995.
2. In this Order:
"the trunk road" means that length of the A3 Trunk Road in the Royal Borough of Kingston Upon Thames known as Robin Hood Way Service Road; and
"London local service" has the meaning given in section 34(1) of the Transport Act 1985(3).
3.-(1) The Trunk Road (A3) (Robin Hood Way Service Road, Kingston upon Thames) (Restriction of Entry) Order 1982(4), shall be varied as follows.
(2) In article 2, before the definition of "Robin Hood Way" there shall be inserted the following-
"London local service" has the meaning given in section 34(1) of the Transport Act 1985.
(3) In article 4, for paragraph (a) there shall be substituted-
"(a)if the vehicle is a pedal cycle or a public service vehicle being used in the provision of a London local service".
