Present,
The Queen's Most Excellent Majesty in Council
Her Majesty, in exercise of the powers conferred on Her by section 21 of the Extradition Act 1870(1) and sections 4(1), 22(3), 30(1) and 37(3) of the Extradition Act 1989(2) or otherwise in Her Majesty vested, is pleased, by and with the advice of Her Privy Council, to order, and it is hereby ordered, as follows:-
1. This Order may be cited as the Extradition (Torture) (Bermuda) Order 1995 and shall come into force on 12th January 1996.
2. Schedule 5 to the Extradition (Torture) Order 1991(3) shall be amended by adding the following entry:-
Bermuda.

(This note is not part of the Order)
This Order extends to Bermuda the operation of the Extradition (Torture) Order 1991, in implementation of the Convention Against Torture and other Cruel, Inhuman or Degrading Treatment or Punishment, adopted by the General Assembly of the United Nations on 10th December 1984(4).
1870 c. 52; the Act was repealed by the Extradition Act 1989 with the savings mentioned in section 37 of that Act.
