The Secretary of State for the Environment, in exercise of the powers conferred upon him by section 153(4) of the Environmental Protection Act 1990(1), and of all other powers enabling him in that behalf, hereby makes the following Order:
1. This Order may be cited as the Financial Assistance for Environmental Purposes (No. 2) Order 1995 and shall come into force on 28th March 1995.
2. In section 153(1) of the Environmental Protection Act 1990 (purposes for which financial assistance may be given) there shall be inserted after paragraph (x)(2):
"(y)the Energy Saving Trust Limited."

(This note is not part of the Order)
This Order varies section 153(1) of the Environmental Protection Act 1990 to enable the Secretary of State, with the consent of the Treasury, to give financial assistance to or for the purposes of the Energy Saving Trust Limited, a company limited by guarantee whose main objects are to promote and provide for the efficient and rational use of energy in the United Kingdom.
