1. This Order may be cited as the Financial Services Act 1986 (Gas Industry Exemption) (Amendment) Order 1996 and shall come into force on 22nd May 1996.
2. In article 1 of the Financial Services (Gas Industry Exemption) Order(4) the words"Financial Services Act 1986 (Gas Industry Exemption) Order 1996" shall be substituted for the words "Financial Services (Gas Industry Exemption) Order".

This Order amends article 1 of the Financial Services (Gas Industry Exemption) Order by substituting for the words "Financial Services (Gas Industry Exemption) Order" in that article the words "Financial Services Act 1986 (Gas Industry Exemption) Order 1996".
The functions of the Secretary of State under section 46 were transferred to the Treasury by S.I. 1992/1315.
Section 205A was inserted by the Companies Act 1989 (1989 c. 40).
