The Secretary of State, in exercise of the powers conferred upon him by section 37 of the Prison Act 1952(1), hereby makes the following Order:
1. This Order may be cited as the Closure of Prisons (H.M. Young Offender Institution Finnamore Wood) Order 1996 and shall come into force on 1st September 1996.
2. The young offender institution known as H.M. Young Offender Institution Finnamore Wood and situate in the county of Buckinghamshire shall close on the coming into force of this Order.

This Order provides for the closure of H.M. Young Offender Institution Finnamore Wood on 1st September 1996.
1952 c. 52. Section 37 was amended by paragraph 6 of Schedule 14 to the Criminal Justice Act 1982 (c. 48) and applies to young offender institutions by virtue of section 43(5) of the 1952 Act as amended by paragraph 1 of Schedule 8 to the Criminal Justice Act 1988 (c. 33).
