The Secretary of State, in exercise of the powers conferred upon him by section 37 of the Prison Act 1952(1), hereby makes the following Order:
1. This Order may be cited as the Closure of Prisons (H.M. Prison Oxford) Order 1996 and shall come into force on 7th September 1996.
2. The prison known as H.M. Prison Oxford and situate in the county of Oxfordshire shall close on the coming into force of this Order.
