The Secretary of State, in exercise of the powers conferred on him by section 2(2) of the Marriage Ceremony (Prescribed Words) Act 1996(1), hereby makes the following Order:
1. This Order may be cited as the Marriage Ceremony (Prescribed Words) Act 1996 (Commencement) Order 1996.
2. The provisions of the Marriage Ceremony (Prescribed Words) Act 1996 shall come into force on 1st February 1997.
