In exercise of the power conferred on me by section 22(8) of the Firearms (Amendment) Act 1988(1), I hereby make the following Order:
1. This Order may be cited as the Firearms (Amendment) Act 1988 (Firearms Consultative Committee) Order 1996.
2. The Firearms Consultative Committee shall, following the expiry of the period of its existence specified in article 2 of the Firearms (Amendment) Act 1988 (Firearms Consultative Committee) Order 1993(2), continue to exist for a period of three years beginning on 1st February 1997.

This Order which is made under section 22 of the Firearms (Amendment) Act 1988, continues the existence of the Firearms Consultative Committee for a further three years (the maximum period under section 22) from the date of the expiry of the current three years period of its existence.
