(This note is not part of the Order)
This Order designates the Ashworth, Broadmoor and Rampton Hospital Authorities as "relevant bodies" within the meaning of section 2 of the Health Service Commissioners Act 1993 so that the Health Service Commissioner for England may investigate complaints which relate to these Special Health Authorities or their officers. The Order also revokes the Health Service Commissioner for England (Special Hospitals Service Authority) Order 1990 consequentially upon the abolition of the Special Hospitals Service Authority.
