The Secretary of State in exercise of the powers conferred upon him by sections 17 and 26 of the Local Government Act 1992(1) hereby makes the following Order:
1. This Order may be cited as the Humberside (Coroners) (Amendment) Order 1996 and shall come into force on 1st April 1996.
2. In articles 3(2) and 4(b) of the Humberside (Coroners) Order 1996(2), for the words "North Lincolnshire" there shall be substituted the words "North East Lincolnshire".

This Order amends the Humberside (Coroners) Order 1996 to provide that when that Order comes into force on 1st April 1996 the North East Lincolnshire District Council shall become responsible for the appointment of coroners and other functions in connection with coroners in the North Lincolnshire and Grimsby Coroner's District.
