The Traffic Director for London, in accordance with a direction given to him by the Secretary of State under section 58(1) of the Road Traffic Act 1991(1) and in exercise of the powers conferred on the Secretary of State by section 6 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984(2), and of all other enabling powers, hereby makes the following Order:-
1. This Order may be cited as The A1 Trunk Road (Islington) Red Route Traffic Order 1993 Variation Order 1997, and shall come into force on 5th December 1997.
2. The A1 Trunk Road (Islington) Red Route Traffic Order 1993(3) is varied as provided by the following provisions of this Order.
3. Item 49 in part VI of Schedule 3 is deleted.
4. Item 50 in part VI of Schedule 3 is substituted as follows-
"50. Between a point 10.5 metres south of the southern kerbline of White Lion Street and a point opposite the party wall of Nos 7 and 9 Islington High Street."
5. A new item 10A is added to part II of Schedule 3 as follows-
10A. Between a point 3.0 metres north of the party wall of Nos 31 and 33-37 Islington High Street and a point 6.0 metres north of the northern kerbline of White Lion Street."
6. A new item 51A is added to Schedule 4 as follows-
"51A. Between a point 6.0 metres north of the northern kerbline of White Lion Street and a point 10.5 metres south of the southern kerbline of White Lion Street."
