The Secretary of State for Health, in exercise of the powers conferred on him by section 92(1) of the National Health Service Act 1977(1) and of all other powers enabling him in that behalf, having regard to the change in the arrangements for the administration of hospitals and other establishments and facilities previously managed by the former Isle of Wight Health Authority resulting from the establishment of the Isle of Wight Healthcare National Health Service Trust(2), having consulted the Isle of Wight Health Authority and that Trust in accordance with section 92(3) of that Act, hereby makes the following Order:
1.-(1) This Order may be cited as the Isle of Wight Healthcare National Health Service Trust (Transfer of Trust Property) Order 1998 and shall come into force on 24th February 1998.
(2) In this Order-
"the Authority" means the Isle of Wight Health Authority, established on 1st April 1996(3);
"the Trust" means the Isle of Wight Healthcare National Health Service Trust;
"the trust property" means the items specified in a schedule of trust property prepared by, agreed upon by and signed on behalf of the Authority and the Trust on 19th September 1997.
2. On 24th February 1998 the trust property shall be transferred from the Authority to the Trust.

This Order transfers to the Isle of Wight Healthcare National Health Service Trust on 24th February 1998 trust property held by the Isle of Wight Health Authority. A copy of the schedule of trust property to which the Order refers can be obtained from the Department of Health, Accounts and Trust Allocations Branch, Quarry House, Quarry Hill, Leeds LS2 7UE.
