The Secretary of State, in exercise of the power conferred upon him by section 3(1) of the Gaming (Bingo) Act 1985(1), and after consultation with the Gaming Board for Great Britain, hereby makes the following Regulations:
1. These Regulations may be cited as the Gaming Clubs (Multiple Bingo) (Amendment) Regulations 1998 and shall come into force on 1st October 1998.
2. For regulation 2 of the Gaming Clubs (Multiple Bingo) Regulations 1986(2) there shall be substituted the following-
"2. The number of games of multiple bingo that may be played on any bingo club premises in any period of twenty-four hours beginning at midnight shall be three.".
3. The Gaming Clubs (Multiple Bingo) (Amendment) Regulations 1991(3) are hereby revoked.

These Regulations amend the Gaming Clubs (Multiple Bingo) Regulations 1986 to increase to three the number of games of multiple bingo that may be played on any licensed bingo club premises on any day. The previous limit was two on a Saturday and one on any other day.
