The Secretary of State, in exercise of the powers conferred on him by sections 41(9) and 51(4) of the Gaming Act 1968(1), hereby makes the following Order:
1.-(1) This Order may be cited as the Gaming Act (Variation of Monetary Limits) (No. 2) Order 2000 and shall come into force on 13th November 2000.
(2) This Order extends to Scotland.
2.-(1) The provisions of section 41 of the Gaming Act 1968 (gaming at entertainments not held for private gain) specified in column 1 of the Schedule to this Order (which relate to the maximum sums permitted in respect of the matters mentioned in column 2 of that Schedule) shall have effect as if, for the sums specified in those provisions, there were substituted the sums specified in column 3 of that Schedule.
(2) Paragraph (1) above shall have effect only in relation to entertainments held on or after the date on which this Order comes into force.
3. The Gaming Act (Variation of Monetary Limits) (No. 3) Order 1992(2) and the Gaming Act (Variation of Monetary Limits) (Scotland) (No. 2) Order 1992(3) are hereby revoked.

This Order, which replaces the Orders revoked by article 3, increases the maximum monetary limits, specified in section 41 of the Gaming Act 1968, for the prizes, stakes and other matters mentioned in the Schedule to the Order.
