NATIONAL LOTTERY

The New Opportunities Fund (Increase in Membership) Order 2003

  Made 9th November 2003 
  Laid before Parliament 11th November 2003 
  Coming into force 1st January 2004 

The Secretary of State, in exercise of the powers conferred upon her by paragraph 1(3) of Schedule 6A to the National Lottery etc. Act 1993[1] hereby makes the following Order:

Citation and commencement
     1. This Order may be cited as the New Opportunities Fund (Increase in Membership) Order 2003 and shall come into force on 1st January 2004.

Increase in membership
    
2. Paragraph 1(1) of Schedule 6A to the National Lottery etc. Act 1993 is amended so as to substitute the number "16" for the number "12".

EXPLANATORY NOTE

(This note is not part of the Order)


This Order increases the maximum number of members that may be appointed by the Secretary of State to the New Opportunities Fund (established under section 43A of the National Lottery etc. Act 1993) from twelve to sixteen.
