MERCHANT SHIPPING

The Merchant Shipping (Liability of Shipowners and Others) (Rate of Interest) (Amendment) Order 2003

  Made 4th December 2003 
  Laid before Parliament 10th December 2003 
  Coming into force 31st December 2003 

The Secretary of State, in exercise of the powers conferred by paragraph 8(1) of Part II of Schedule 7 to the Merchant Shipping Act 1995[1] and with the concurrence of the Treasury, hereby makes the following Order:

Citation and commencement
     1. This Order may be cited as the Merchant Shipping (Liability of Shipowners and Others) (Rate of Interest) (Amendment) Order 2003 and shall come into force on 31st December 2003.

Amendment of period for payment of rate of interest at the prescribed rate
    
2. The Merchant Shipping (Liability of Shipowners and Others) (Rate of Interest) Order 1999[2] is amended by -
