(a) section 17 (minimum age);

(b) paragraph 103 of Schedule 1 (amendments); and

(c) in Schedule 2 (repeals) the entries relating to—


(i) the Parliamentary Elections Act 1695[2];

(ii) the Election Act 1707[3];

(iii) the Parliamentary Elections (Ireland) Act 1823[4]; and

(iv) the Family Law Reform Act 1969[5].

     3. Section 52(4) to (6) of the Act shall come into force on 7th February 2007 for the purposes of local government elections within the meaning of section 22(5)(f) of the Political Parties, Elections and Referendums Act 2000[6].
