The Goods Vehicles (Authorisation of International Journeys) (Fees) (Amendment) Regulations 2008

The Secretary of State for Transport makes the following Regulations with the consent of the Treasury in exercise of the powers conferred by sections 56(1) and (2) of the Finance Act 1973(1) and by virtue of the Department of Transport (Fees) Order 1988(2).

Citation and Commencement

1. These Regulations may be cited as the Goods Vehicles (Authorisation of International Journeys) (Fees) (Amendment) Regulations 2008 and shall come into force on 1st August 2008.

Amendments

2. Regulation 3 of the Goods Vehicles (Authorisation of International Journeys) (Fees) Regulations 2001(3) is amended as follows –

(1) In paragraph (1)(a), for "£121" substitute "£127."

(2) In paragraph (1)(b), for "£30" substitute "£32."

(3) In paragraph (2), for "£3" substitute "£4."

(4) In paragraph (3)(a), for "£7" substitute "£8."

(5) In paragraph (3)(b), for "£12.50" substitute "£13."

(6) In paragraph (3)(c), for "£46" substitute "£48."

(7) In paragraph (4), for "£16" substitute "£17."

(8) In paragraph (5), for "£7" substitute "£8."

EXPLANATORY NOTE

(This note is not part of the Regulations)

These Regulations increase the fees payable under the Goods Vehicles (Authorisation of International Journeys) (Fees) Regulations 2001.

The fee increases, together with percentage increases, are shown in the table below. The fees were last increased on 30 August 2004.
