The Secretary of State makes the following Order in exercise of the powers conferred by section 8B(5) of the Immigration Act 1971(1):
1. This Order may be cited as the Immigration (Designation of Travel Bans) (Amendment No.4) Order 2011 and shall come into force on 13th May 2011.
2. In Part 2 of the Schedule to the Immigration (Designation of Travel Bans) Order 2000(2), insert "Council Decision 2011/273/CFSP of 9th May 2011 (Syria)"(3) at the appropriate place.

This Order amends the Immigration (Designation of Travel Bans) Order 2000 ("the 2000 Order") by adding to Part 2 of the Schedule to the 2000 Order European Union Council Decision 2011/273/CFSP of 9th May 2011, made in response to the situation in Syria.
1971 c.77. Section 8B was inserted by section 8 of the Immigration and Asylum Act 1999 (c.33).
S.I. 2000/2724. The Schedule to the Order was substituted by S.I. 2010/2813 and amended by S.I. 2011/547, S.I. 2011/621 and S.I. 2011/932.
