The Secretary of State makes the following Order in exercise of the powers conferred by section 59(1) of the Crime and Security Act 2010(1).
1.-(1) This Order may be cited as the Crime and Security Act 2010 (Commencement No. 2) Order 2011.
(2) In this Order "the Act" means the Crime and Security Act 2010.
2. The day appointed for the coming into force of section 46 of the Act (offence of allowing minors access to air weapons) is 10th February 2011.

This Order brings section 46 of the Crime and Security Act 2010 into force on 10th February 2011. Section 46 amends the Firearms Act 1968 by inserting a new offence of failing to take reasonable precautions to prevent minors from having air weapons.
