Coming into force in accordance with article 1(2)
1.-(1) This Order may be cited as the Parliamentary Elections (Welsh Forms) (Amendment) Order 2015.
(2) This Order comes into force on the day after the day on which it is made.
2. In this Order-
(a)"the 2007 Order" means the Parliamentary Elections (Welsh Forms) Order 2007(3); and
(b)unless otherwise stated, any reference to a numbered article or Schedule is a reference to the article or Schedule bearing that number in the 2007 Order.
3.-(1) The 2007 Order is amended as follows.
(2) In article 4 (Welsh versions of forms of words)-
(a)for paragraph (1) substitute-
"(1) In the Form of Front of Ballot Paper in the Appendix of Forms to Schedule 1 to the 1983 Act (parliamentary elections rules)-
(a)"Ethol Aelod Seneddol ar gyfer etholaeth [rhowch enw'r etholaeth]" is prescribed as the form of words in Welsh for the words "Election of the Member of Parliament for the [insert name of constituency] constituency";
(b)"Pleidleisiwch ar gyfer un ymgeisydd yn unig trwy roi croes [x] yn y blwch nesaf at eich dewis" is prescribed as the form of words in Welsh for the words "Vote for only one candidate by putting a cross [x] in the box next to your choice"."
(b)in paragraph (2) for "immediately beneath" substitute "together above or below".
(3) In article 5 (Welsh version of prescribed forms and a form of words)-
(a)make the existing provision paragraph (1); and
(b)after paragraph (1) as so renumbered insert-
"(2) Form 5 in Schedule 1 to this Order is prescribed as the Welsh version that may be used at a parliamentary election in Wales in place of the form prescribed by paragraph 29 of Schedule 2 to the Representation of the People (Combination of Polls) (England and Wales) Regulations 2004(4) (companion declaration for combined polls) when the poll at the election is taken together with one or more other polls under section 15 of the Representation of the People Act 1985(5)."
(4) In article 6 (Welsh and English versions of prescribed forms and a form of words)-
(a)make the existing provision paragraph (1);
(b)in paragraph (1) as so renumbered, after sub-paragraph (d) insert-
"(da)in the case of form 4A, the notice prescribed by paragraph 9 of Schedule 2 to the Representation of the People (Combination of Polls) (England and Wales) Regulations 2004 (voting compartment notice for combined polls);"
(c)after paragraph (1) as so renumbered insert-
"(2) Forms 4, 4A, 13, 14, 18 and 19 set out in Schedule 2 to this Order are to be used at a parliamentary election in Wales only where the poll at that election is taken together with one or more other polls under section 15 of the Representation of the People Act 1985."
(5) In Schedule 1 (Welsh version of prescribed forms and a form of words)-
(a)for Form 1 substitute Form 1 (certificate of employment) in Schedule 1 to this Order;
(b)after Form 4 insert Form 5 (companion declaration for combined polls) in Schedule 1 to this Order.
(6) In Schedule 2 (Welsh and English versions of prescribed forms and a form of words)-
(a)for each of the following forms substitute the corresponding form in Schedule 2 to this Order-
(i)Form 1 (form of back of ballot paper);
(ii)Form 4 (form of directions for the guidance of voters in voting (guidance for voters at a combined poll));
(iii)Form 5 (official poll card);
(iv)Form 6 (official postal poll card);
(v)Form 7 (official proxy poll card);
(vi)Form 8 (official proxy postal poll card);
(vii)Form 12 (postal voting statement);
(viii)Form 13 (postal voting statement (for use where there is a joint issue and receipt of postal ballot papers));
(ix)Form 14 (postal voting statement (for use when a poll is combined with another poll but the postal ballot papers are not combined));
(x)Form 15 (statement as to postal ballot papers);
(b)after Form 4 insert Form 4A (voting compartment notice for combined polls) in Schedule 2 to this Order.

This Order amends the Parliamentary Elections (Welsh Forms) Order 2007 (S.I. 2007/1014), which prescribes Welsh versions of certain forms and forms of words which must be used at United Kingdom parliamentary elections held in Wales. This Order updates certain forms and forms of words to be used at parliamentary elections in Wales. These changes follow amendments to parliamentary elections forms made by Schedule 4 to the Representation of the People (England and Wales) (Description of Electoral Registers and Amendment) Regulations 2013 (S.I. 2013/3198), the Representation of the People (Combination of Polls) (England and Wales) (Amendment) Regulations 2014 (S.I. 2014/920) and the Representation of the People (Ballot Paper) Regulations 2015 (S.I. 2015/656).
A full regulatory impact assessment has not been produced for this instrument as no impact on the private or voluntary sectors is foreseen.
1993 c.38; the Lord President of the Council is the "appropriate minister" for the purposes of section 27(4) of the 1993 Act. The relevant powers of the Secretary of State under the Representation of the People Act 1983 (c.2) are exercisable concurrently with the Lord President of the Council by virtue of article 3 of the Lord President of the Council Order 2010 (S.I. 2010/1837).
