The Secretary of State makes the following Order in exercise of the power conferred by section 96(2) of the Legal Aid, Sentencing and Punishment of Offenders Act 2012(1).
1. This Order may be cited as the Remand to Local Authority Accommodation (Electronic Monitoring) (Responsible Person) Order 2016 and comes into force on 30th November 2016.
2. For the purposes of section 96(2) of the Legal Aid, Sentencing and Punishment of Offenders Act 2012 (further provisions about electronic monitoring), a description of person who may be made responsible for the monitoring of a person subject to an electronic monitoring condition is a person who is employed by Capita Business Services Limited, 71 Victoria Street, Westminster, London SW1H 0XA (Company Number 02299747).

This Order specifies a person who is employed by Capita Business Services Limited as a person who may be made responsible for the monitoring of a person who is subject to an electronic monitoring condition that has been imposed as a condition of remand to local authority accommodation under section 93(2) Legal Aid, Sentencing and Punishment of Offenders Act 2012 (c. 10).
A full impact assessment has not been produced for this instrument as no, or no significant, impact on the private, voluntary or public sectors is foreseen.
