1.-(1) These Regulations may be cited as the Commons (Registration of Town or Village Greens) and Dedicated Highways (Landowner Statements and Declarations) (England) (Amendment) Regulations 2016 and come into force on 1st December 2016.
(2) These Regulations apply to any application to which regulation 2(1) of the 2013 Regulations applies made on or after the date on which these Regulations come into force.
(3) In these Regulations, "the 2013 Regulations" means the Commons (Registration of Town or Village Greens) and Dedicated Highways (Landowner Statements and Declarations) (England) Regulations 2013(3).
2. In regulation 4(2)(c) of the 2013 Regulations, at the beginning insert "in respect of an application to which regulation 2(1)(c) applies,".

These Regulations amend the Commons (Registration of Town or Village Greens) and Dedicated Highways (Landowner Statements and Declarations) (England) Regulations 2013 (S.I. 2013/1774) to remove the requirement on an appropriate authority to post notice of an application to deposit a statement and map, or to lodge a declaration, under section 31(6) of the Highways Act 1980 (c. 66) in an obvious or conspicuous place on the land to which the application relates.
An impact assessment has not been produced for this instrument as no, or no significant, impact on the private, voluntary or public sector is foreseen.
1980 c. 66; see section 31(14) for the definition of "prescribed". Subsections (6C) and (14) were inserted by section 13 of the Growth and Infrastructure Act 2013 (c. 27).
2006 c. 26; see section 15A(9) for the definition of "prescribed". Section 61(1) defines "regulations" as regulations made by the appropriate national authority, and "appropriate national authority" as the Secretary of State in relation to England. Section 15A was inserted by section 15 of the Growth and Infrastructure Act 2013.
