These Regulations make amendments to secondary legislation which are consequential to changes made by Part 1 of the Immigration Act 2016 (c.19). Regulation 2 introduces a Schedule containing those consequential amendments.
Part 1 of the Schedule inserts a reference to the "Director of Labour Market Enforcement" into Schedule 2 to the Official Secrets Act 1989 (Prescription) Order 1990. This prescribes certain persons for the purposes of the Official Secrets Act 1989, the effect of which is that those persons who are prescribed become Crown servants for all purposes of the Act.
Part 2 of the Schedule amends secondary legislation to replace references to the "Gangmasters Licensing Authority" with references to the "Gangmasters and Labour Abuse Authority".
