(This note is not part of the Order)
This Order increases the maximum membership of the Office of Communications from ten to twelve.
Regulation 2 amends section 1(2) of the Office of Communications Act 2002 to increase the maximum number stated in that section to twelve.
Regulation 3 revokes the two previous Orders which modified the maximum number of members.
A full impact assessment has not been produced for these Regulations as no impact on the private, voluntary or public sectors is foreseen.
The number of members was modified by the Office of Communications (Membership) Order 2002 (S.I. 2002/2956) to nine, and by the Office of Communications (Membership) Order 2005 (S.I. 2005/2718) to ten, but those Orders did not make textual amendments to section 1(2) of the Office of Communications Act 2002.
