Coming into force in accordance with regulation 1
1. These Regulations may be cited as the Antarctic (Isle of Man) (Amendment) Regulations 2018 and come into force seven days after the day on which they were made.
2. In regulation 2 of the Antarctic (Isle of Man) Regulations 1997(3), after "the Antarctic Regulations 1995" insert ", as amended by the Antarctic (Amendment) Regulations 2008(4) and the Antarctic (Amendment) Regulations 2017(5),".

These Regulations amend the Antarctic (Isle of Man) Regulations 1997 (S.I. 1997/2968), which extended the Antarctic Regulations 1995 (S.I. 1995/490) to the Isle of Man with certain modifications, to extend to the Isle of Man the amendments made to those Regulations by the Antarctic (Amendment) Regulations 2008 (S.I. 2008/3066) and the Antarctic (Amendment) Regulations 2017 (S.I. 2017/706).
A full impact assessment has not been produced for this instrument as no, or no significant, impact on the private, voluntary or public sector is foreseen.
1994 c. 15. The Antarctic Act 1994 was amended by section 2(3) of the British Overseas Territories Act 2002 (c. 8) and the Antarctic Act 2013 (c. 15).
S.I. 1995/1035 as amended by S.I. 2015/1531. S.I. 2015/1531 extended to the Isle of Man the amendments made to the Antarctic Act 1994 by sections 14 to 16 of the Antarctic Act 2013.
