The Secretary of State makes the following Regulations in exercise of the powers conferred by section 212(1) of the Data Protection Act 2018(1).
1. These Regulations may be cited as the Data Protection Act 2018 (Commencement No. 3) Regulations 2019.
2. The following provisions of the Data Protection Act 2018 come into force at 00:01 on 2nd December 2019-
(a)paragraph 211 of Schedule 19;
(b)paragraph 227 of Schedule 19.

These Regulations are the third commencement regulations made under the Data Protection Act 2018 (c. 12).
They bring into force paragraphs 211 and 227 of Schedule 19 to that Act on 2nd December 2019, one minute after the provisions brought into force by the Children and Social Work Act 2017 (Commencement No. 6 and Saving Provision) Regulations 2019.
