The Electronic Monitoring (Responsible Persons) (Coronavirus) (Amendment) Order 2020

Coming into force in accordance with article 1

The Secretary of State, in exercise of the powers conferred by section 62(2B) of the Criminal Justice and Court Services Act 2000(1), makes the following Order:

Citation and commencement

1.  This Order may be cited as the Electronic Monitoring (Responsible Persons) (Coronavirus) (Amendment) Order 2020 and comes into force on the day after the day on which it is made.

Amendment to the Electronic Monitoring (Responsible Persons) Order 2018

2.-(1) Article 3(a) of the Electronic Monitoring (Responsible Persons) Order 2018(2) is amended as follows.

(2) After sub-paragraph (iii) insert-

"(iv)Attenti EM UK Ltd, 4th Floor 45, Monmouth Street, London, WC2H 9DG (Company Number 10867315).".

EXPLANATORY NOTE

(This note is not part of the Order)

This Order amends the Electronic Monitoring (Responsible Persons) Order 2018 (S.I. 2018/212) which lists the persons that may be made responsible for the monitoring of individuals under section 62 (Release on licence etc: electronic monitoring conditions) of the Criminal Justice and Court Services Act 2000 (c. 43), as required under section 62(2B) of that Act.

Article 2 of this Order adds a person that may be made responsible for the monitoring of individuals under those provisions of that Act.

A full impact assessment has not been produced for this instrument as no, or no significant, impact on the private, voluntary or public sector is foreseen.
