The Secretary of State, in exercise of the power conferred by section 1(7) of the Office of Communications Act 2002( 1), makes the following Order:
1. This Order may be cited as the Office of Communications (Membership) (Modification) Order 2022 and comes into force on 3rd November 2022.
2. In section 1(2) of the Office of Communications Act 2002 for “twelve” substitute “thirteen”( 2).
3. The Office of Communications (Membership) (Modification) Order 2016 is revoked.

This Order increases the maximum membership of the Office of Communications from twelve to thirteen.
Article 2 amends section 1(2) of the Office of Communications Act 2002 to increase the maximum number stated in that section to thirteen.
Article 3 revokes the previous Order which modified the maximum number of members.
A full impact assessment has not been produced for this Order as no impact on the private, voluntary or public sectors is foreseen.
The number of members in section 1(2) of the Office of Communications Act 2002 was modified by the Office of Communications (Membership) (Modification) Order 2016 ( S.I. 2016/706) to twelve.
