The Police, Crime, Sentencing and Courts Act 2022 (Youth Rehabilitation Order With Intensive Supervision and Surveillance) Piloting (Amendment) Regulations 2024

The Secretary of State makes these Regulations in exercise of the powers conferred by sections 161(4), 208(1) and (2) of the Police, Crime, Sentencing and Courts Act 2022( 1).

Citation and extent

1.—(1) These Regulations may be cited as the Police, Crime, Sentencing and Courts Act 2022 (Youth Rehabilitation Order With Intensive Supervision and Surveillance) Piloting (Amendment) Regulations 2024.

(2) These Regulations extend to England and Wales.

Amendment to the Police, Crime, Sentencing and Courts Act 2022 (Youth Rehabilitation Order With Intensive Supervision and Surveillance) Piloting Regulations 2023

2.  In regulation 4(1) of the Police, Crime, Sentencing and Courts Act 2022 (Youth Rehabilitation Order With Intensive Supervision and Surveillance) Piloting Regulations 2023( 2), for “2025” substitute “2026”.

Explanatory Note

(This note is not part of the Regulations)

These Regulations amend the Police, Crime, Sentencing and Courts Act 2022 (Youth Rehabilitation Order With Intensive Supervision and Surveillance) Piloting Regulations 2023 ( S.I. 2023/705) which brought Parts 2 and 3 of Schedule 17 to the Police, Crime, Sentencing and Courts Act 2022 (c. 32)into force in relation to a list of specified areas until the end of 3rd January 2025. These Regulations extend the period of time for which Parts 2 and 3 of Schedule 17 are in force, in the specified areas, until the end of 3rd January 2026.

A full impact assessment has not been produced for this instrument as no, or no significant, impact on the private, voluntary or public sectors is foreseen.
