BAILII is celebrating 24 years of free online access to the law! Would you consider making a contribution?

No donation is too small. If every visitor before 31 December gives just £1, it will have a significant impact on BAILII's ability to continue providing free access to the law.
Thank you very much for your support!

JILT 2008 (2) - General Editorial

[c]

We welcome readers to this special issue of JILT devoted to information law in South Africa.  It is our first issue especially devoted to developments in a specific issue and the papers presented vouch to the vibrancy of legal developments in South Africa. The successful development of information technology and technology law in Africa and developing countries generally depends greatly on the balance which is struck between the global harmonisation of information technology law and the essential development of legal measures to meet legal needs.  We would like to give special thanks to Professor Tana Pistorius and Sizwe Snail for their work as guest editors of this issue. We would also like to thank our reviewers for their work. Finally, we would like to thank Mizanur Rahaman, Sabrina Zheng and Paul Trimmer of the JILT Team.
